this is a pretty sweet ablum too. the opening track is perfect for dancing or mixing with latain merengue.
Yes, I think so. The rhythm they usually play is called Funan. The main instruments are the Accordion and the Ferrinho (percussion formed by two pieces of iron).
Ferro Gaita wil play in Norway in November. Wow, have we been waiting since this more than 10 year old album to hear them live!
Lucky you! I wish they could come to Brazil in next June, 2010. In June we celebrate St. John’s Day with a lot of music called Forr (traditional Brazilian northeastern rhythm and its variants). Some Funan songs sound like Forr; mainly because of instruments: accordion and triangle (similar to Ferrinho).
